Mark your calendars for our Autumn Conference, September 27-29. Great teaching from the Bible. Our speaker, Sam Andreades has found that teaching what the Bible says about gender helps people. Through a careful reading of Scripture, a sober look at modern movements, walking alongside truth-seeking folks, and engagement with his own pro-Nicene theological tradition, Sam has forged a theology of gender that is invigorating, uplifting and orthodox. As this message gives a positive vision of masculinity and femininity, it also helps to answer many hard questions about women, men and relationships. Sam has served for twenty years in the Presbyterian Church in America, in Greenwich Village, Quarryville, PA and currently as Assoc. Pastor at Iron Works Church, Phoenixville, PA. He has a B.S. in Geology (Yale), an M.S. in Computer Science (NYU), an M.Div. (Ref. Theol. Seminary), and a D.Min. (Covenant Seminary). He is married to Mary K., whom he describes as the truest woman he knows, and without whom he says he could not do what he does. They raised three sons and a daughter and have one grandchild.
Sunday School is offered every Sunday, with children meeting in the Log Chapel at 9:30 am, and adults meeting in the sanctuary at the same time. The current topic for adult Sunday School is “Knowing Christ: The “I AM” Sayings of Jesus Christ”, a course taught by Dr. R.C. Sproul through video, and facilitated by Elder Ken Burl. Children are taught using the “Show Me Jesus” curriculum produced by Great Commission Publications.

In the months that have a fifth Sunday, our evening gathering is an informal Prayer and Praise Hymn Sing, followed by a fellowship time.

We belong to the Presbyterian Church in America. It is our aim and purpose to worship God reverently and sincerely, to edify the children of God, and to reach those who do not know Christ with the Good News of the Gospel. We are firmly persuaded and convinced that the way to reach these three goals is to declare and proclaim the inerrant Word of the Living God. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ” (Romans 10:17).
